Hints & Tips:
|
DO NOT lose the spring. When you replace the refill it may not come with a new spring. Springs are available upon request. If you lose your spring, the pen will not work, do not send it in for repair, just replace the spring!
|
Do not tap, use excessive force or drop your pen on its tip. When dropped the nib is pushed in and you lose the nitrogen pressure causing the refill to become erratic. You too might become erratic if dropped on your head! |
|
To replace the refill, hold the Grip in one hand and the barrel in the other. Unscrew carefully and remove the old refill, do not lose the spring!
Cloud9 pens ONLY - pull the barrel off at the grip area.
|
The Rollerball, Pressurized, and Gel Refills are NOT interchangeable!
|
PENCILS: In order to extend the lead, it is necessary to hold the pencil in a vertical position (eraser side up). Then simply twist the end cap to the right, using short intervals until the desired amount of lead is showing! In order to retract the floating point and your lead, you must place the pencil vertical (eraser side DOWN). Then twisting the end cap while gently pushing the the lead down with the tip of your finger. Once you have accomplishing this: walking, chewing gum and tapping your head will be easy.
| Cleaning: Use only soft clean wet cloths to gently wipe your pen. Be careful what is on your hands when you touch your pen since some caustic, sharp or rough chemicals can attack the grip or scratch the glossy surface of your pen. |
Troubleshooting:
The Pen doesn't stay down
when I write? The
most common problem is that someone played with your refill and launched your
spring across the room to be lost forever. Open the pen and check
the refill for its spring, if missing call us for a new one.
My Pen needs repair. The Sensa pen line has been discontinued by the manufacturer Sanford therefore they no longer will repair the pen. Sanford's customer service line is 1.800.BestPen
FAQ:
May I just buy the Grip?
No, to replace the grip, you must send it in for repair as there maybe some
slight differences in each model or lot.
What is the pressurized refill? The PR refill is a special refill made for Sensa. (It might have "PR" on the refill) It is a ballpoint ink rather than a more liquid ink like gel or rollerball ink. It is under pressure (nitrogen) which makes it able to write upside down, under water and on glossy surfaces. This is the only refill which will fit into the original Sensa Pens. Your pen was shipped with a Medium Black refill.
The Capless Rollerball refills ("X-400" on refills) only come in medium only and they are a new technology refill.
Parker Gel and Ballpoint refills fit the new "Gel" Sensa Pens.

Attention
Sensa Pencil Users Sometimes
in shipping the lead of your Sensa Pencil breaks inside. This might cause the
lead to not advance or stay down during writing.
To fix this
problem:
|
Simply point the pencil down and twist the top to advance
the lead. | |
| When the lead is out enough to grab it, and pull this offending piece out. (It is about an inch long.) | |
| Twist to advance the lead and you are on your way to comfortable writing. |
